ARC is pleased to welcome Gulay Berryman as our
newest ARC Living Artist
"Art has been my way of acknowledging the world around me. I have always been a very visual person from a young age but the inspiration to paint and preserve on canvas my impressions of places, people, and events was certainly intensified by foreign travel. The more you see as an artist, the more your imagination is unleashed, the stronger the feeling that there are images in your mind that you must put to canvas. An artist has many of the same creative urges as writers or inventors but they use lines, form and color to express themselves instead of words or the sciences."

ARC seeks to ‘promote a return of skill-based training, standards and excellence in the visual arts. The rich artistic heritage of 2,500 years of accumulated knowledge in creating traditional, realistic images touching upon universal and timeless themes.’
ARC was founded by Fred Ross, a New Jersey-based businessman, art collector and a leading world authority on the French artist William Adolphe Bouguereau.
A review of the circa 170 ARC-affiliated artists reads like a ‘Who’s Who’ of some of the leading contemporary realism artists in the world today: Nelson Shanks, Cesar Santos, David Leffel, Jeremy Lipking, Jacob Collins, Juliette Aristides, Joshua LaRock, Daniel Gerhartz, Michael John Angel, Steve Hanks, Anthony Ryder, Ted Seth Jacobs, Scott Burdick, Shane Wolf, Yuqi Wang, and Patricia Watwood to name but a few.

Among these are: Atelier Florence Academy of Art, MEAM (Museu Europeu d’Art Modern)in Barcelona, Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, Academy of Fine Art of Germany, the London Atelier of Representational Art, Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art, Aristides Atelier, Paris Academy of Art and the Schuler School of Fine Arts in Baltimore.
ARC maintains one of the largest online art museums with a vast database containing around 100,000 images of paintings and sculptures by renowned historical and contemporary world masters. It also has a variety of instructional resource materials for aspiring artists and an online bookstore. Lastly, ARC promotes an annual Salon art competition which attracts the top realism artists in the world today and which has over $100,000 in prizes going to the award winners.
